Easter Fun at Hyvee

At Hyvee today we were able to go and see the Easter Bunny and Cookie Monster and Elmo. The kids loved the animals from a distance and we were really lucky to get this picture with the Bunny still looking like he is close to the kids. :D

Then we were able to decorate pancakes to look like easter bunnies. It was super easy and there was no line and it was free fun! Oh and tasted wonderful! Chocolate on pancakes is ingenious!
Daphney's Bunny- She picked out the ingredients she wanted for each
body part and then we put it together.

This is Demitri's you will have to click on it to see his ingredient picks since I forgot to get a close up.

Then we were able to decorate Easter Eggs with crayons.

Attempt #1 No face
Attempt#2 No Egg
Attempt #3- Priceless!

More about Pet Mouse

Found this saved in my drafts today so probably a month old:

Tonight I asked Daphney to say the prayers. She responded no it is mouses turn (her stuffed animal that I am not sure what animal it really is...) She then preceded to whisper to the mouse sentences that she would then repeat in a small mouse voice. It was super funny. "Thank you for your EYES, Thank you for your NOSE, Thank you for your HANDS, Thank you for your HEART, and the hearts on my bed!"
-Love that crazy child!

Outside Happiness

We are very strangely stuck on this letter! Can't make a capital I no.. no.. NO! -Only H's. Any other letter you might see littering our driveway, sidewalk, and every other pebble will not be done by Daphney.

Demitri fell down the hill and cried so Daphney pretended to fall and roll down with him while laughing. Either she was making fun of him or showing him how to enjoy the fall! (She sure has enough practice at falling!)

So my kids have started this new thing of painting rocks... They have been doing it for DAYS!!! This is kind of a family tradition however the secret thing we must never tell my children is they are painting with water. It is the best hoax ever. - They happily spend loads of time working together outside and it is clean!

Sickies

We all had the flu two weeks ago, and as you can tell Daphney had it the worst. Poor thing! But we got through it together, and spent a couple afternoons simply lying on the porch in the sun, because we could hardly move. So grateful for the extra patience and love that Shane especially showed as we pulled together to make it through.

I think it might be what we learn from trials that helps give us
the stamina to make it through the mediocre times in life.
